Most all research and customer-driven work in which PIIM engages involves geospatial mapping and visualization methodologies, tools, and technologies. Geospatial Visualization methodologies enable PIIM to explore the visualization of diverse datasets – in many visual forms – as “base maps” layered upon additional information sources. The nature of geographic maps to provide this layering ability alongside our innate abilities to comprehend information in this spatial context provides a solid basis for myriad new forms of visualization.
PIIM has employed and tested its Geospatial Visualization research in many of our customer-driven programs for real-world results. We utilize various GIS technologies including many of the ESRI web- and desktop-based solutions.
