The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey supports a network of satellite offices in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut regions to monitor and secure the activities at the regions’ airports, ports, and roadways.

The Port Authority turned to PIIM to assess and design a thin-client solution that would be rapidly deployed and also pass the agency‘s “3 minute” adoption rule for all its users. PIIM conducted numerous user interviews, assessed and analyzed each data and information feed in designing the interface, interaction and workflows for the tool.

Additionally, PIIM employed its Visualization-Driven Rapid Prototyping methodology to document every facet of the system in order to successfully deliver it to the Army Corps of Engineers for full engineering and deployment.
